A poker table top can transform any room into a casino in just a few seconds and with minimal effort. A poker table top is constructed to let you use it with maximum ease and quickness. Often, a poker table top is constructed as a foldable piece with an easy-to-haul weight. In fact, many manufacturers design table tops to be portable. Poker table tops are usually made with base board of ½ inch wood. The wood finish of table tops varies, however. Common wood finishes available include oak, walnut, mahogany, Spanish oak, ranch, and pecan.
Other basic differences between table tops include the color and fabric of the table cover. Commonly, though, table tops are covered either with vinyl or felt. Common available colors include red, black, green, ivory, brown, and tan.
Sizes and shapes of table tops also vary. There are two common table top dimensions, however: one is 48" x 48" and can hold a maximum of 8 players, and the other is 79" x 36" which can hold a maximum of ten players. Shapes of table tops are usually hexagonal and rectangular-rounded for Texas hold 'em games.
A poker table top may or may not have chip trays and drink trays. These trays are removable. When you want to use your table top, you simply install the trays and secure them with pins.
A table top may also come with a travel bag.
After using your poker table top, all you need to do is fold it, bag it, and store it away. Since its size is halved when folded, a poker table top saves storing space. It's also a great travel companion, and can fit on your trunk or the back of your car.
